Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. CTRL+ALT+DEL does nothing and then the screen goes black. I had to unplug my USB hub and MP3 player to finally get the darn PC to work. I tried using Chrome and IE, and they ended up crashing as well. It seemed to have started since the update to 7100 and since other users are experiencing the same problem I suspect now it was the update. Downloading and reinstalling fromgoogle.com/chromeinstallsand fixes the problem.Then the .NET Framework updates and IE 10 cumulative updates and all otherupdates can be installed back.The issue is somewhere wherein CHROME was updated to It only started happening when GMAIL made the transition to Hangouts from the old chat. When I load up msnbc.com and have shockwave enabled my browser freezes for almost a minute before finally letting me click on any links.
The modem can be plugged in but not running - never freezes. I have went through every possible solution other than the HAMMER and I'm at my wits end. My mouse pointer will remain usable, but clicking or pressing keys on the keyboard will do absolutely nothing. I really don't have a clue anymore.
