Eventually I found the usb drivers on the restore disk, but could not find any drivers for the sata system that existed on the mother board. Study carefully the documentation of the backup/restore product that you choose. However, that would only happen occasionally (and usually as you opened or closed different programs that hadn't been used in a while).
